Full Job Description
Abridge is seeking a Senior Product Counsel to serve as the primary legal advisor for teams developing AI, machine learning, and data products at the forefront of healthcare technology. This highly cross-functional role partners closely with product, engineering, and compliance teams to address complex legal issues arising from the development and deployment of advanced AI models, including ambient clinical documentation and emerging multimodal healthcare experiences.

The Senior Product Counsel will identify and mitigate AI-specific legal risks, design practical frameworks for responsible AI development, and shape Abridge's positions on evolving AI regulations. Responsibilities include advising on model behavior, output accuracy, intellectual property, data provenance, and liability for AI-generated content, as well as supporting privacy and data governance initiatives. The role requires developing scalable legal processes tailored to the pace of frontier AI innovation and representing Abridge's interests with regulators and industry groups.

Ideal candidates bring at least 8 years of legal experience, including 4+ years counseling on AI, machine learning, or emerging technology products, with prior in-house experience. A strong understanding of AI-specific legal issues, the ability to translate complex regulatory concepts for technical audiences, and comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments are essential.
