Senior Procurement Analyst
To provide critical analytical support to category managers and the VP of Procurement in order to optimize procurement processes, drive data-driven decisions, and ensure spend efficiency across a multitude of business units in the US, Canada, and Mexico.
The Role will report to the VP of Procurement and involve interface with category managers, c-suite stakeholders, operational plant stakeholders, and suppliers.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesGeneral:
- Provide leading commercial and market analysis to support procurement work
- Act as Lead Analyst on high profile procurement initiatives, and as a key interface with key business and supplier stakeholders
- Ensure analytical governance and reporting standards are upheld
- Champion the use of technology and digital tools within SPG
Market and Data Analysis:
- Collaborate with operational stakeholders across plants to gather required spend data for group spend visibility and to support group procurement initiatives
- Ensure all procurement data is captured and referenced in a standardized form
- Develop and maintain procurement reporting and dashboards to drive data-informed decision-making
- Provide market and competitor information to keep the central procurement team up to speed with latest market developments relevant to the business
- Work closely with the VP of Procurement to ensure SPG's data infrastructure is robust and fit for purpose
Supporting Category Managers:
- Support Category Managers in the analysis of category specific data in order to formulate baseline spend positions, prepare tender documentation, tender analysis and benefit calculations
- Conduct supplier performance analysis required by category managers, including spend analysis and cost-saving opportunities
- Advise category managers on procurement data trends, risks, and opportunities
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, business analysis, or supply chain management
- Strong knowledge of procurement systems (ERP, data tools, e-sourcing tools) and advanced Excel skills (Power BI, Tableau a plus)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Experience in large-scale procurement transformation projects is a plus
Travel Requirements- Max 10% Travel as required for stakeholder meetings, plant visits, and in person team meetings
General Work Environment- REMOTE / HYBRID based on preference and management approval
