DescriptionRochester Electronics, LLC seeks Senior Process Engineers to work in Newburyport, Massachusetts. The Senior Process Engineer develops and documents manufacturing techniques, materials, tools and processes related to back-end semiconductor assembly. Performs analyses and selects techniques to solve problems and enhance product yield and process flows. Salary $118,435 / Year. Performs the following duties:
Job Duties- Establishes high yielding, cost effective processes based on product need and customer requirements.
- Maintains knowledge of new developments in manufacturing and design technologies.
- Develops and executes Design of Experiments (DOE) for process optimization utilizing appropriate statistical analysis software, such as JUMP, Minitab, Excel Statistics, or equivalent.
- Establishes processes based on product specifications.
- Evaluates and validates process and design alternatives based on product manufacturability.
- Understands principles of cost of goods sold and develops process improvements to increase cost effectiveness of manufacturing.
- Understands intellectual property issues relative to processes being developed.
- Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors and vendors.
- May serve as member on cross-functional project teams.
- Understands work environment issues (i.e. OSHA regulations, etc.).
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned; and
- No supervisory responsibility, but provides informal guidance and mentorship to new team members.
Job Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Microelectronics, Mechatronic Engineering, or Computer Science or other related engineering discipline required; or equivalent foreign educational degree.
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in microelectronics, semiconductor, medical equipment, or other device manufacturing, or other related industry.
- Semiconductor experience.
- Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
