Job Title: Senior Principal Scientist, Lab Head, Immunomodulation - Cell Reprogramming

Location: Cambridge, MA

Main Responsibilities:

Position Overview & Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of scientists and cross-functional research teams, ensuring timely progression of projects from early concepts to first-in-human studies
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering scientific excellence, professional growth, and a lead-by-example culture
  • Develop clear scientific strategies to support departmental goals and allocate resources to drive overall group performance
  • Demonstrate innovation in research with deep understanding of clinical translation
  • Apply scientific expertise to initiate, design, direct, and execute experiments while ensuring compliance with laboratory safety and documentation protocols
  • Keep current with developments in basic research, clinical development, and the competitive landscape
  • Publish and present findings in peer-reviewed journals and scientific conferences


About You:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in Immunology, Immuno-Oncology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 7 years of post-graduate research experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related industry
  • Deep knowledge in immunological mechanisms or tumor immunology
  • Experience in cell therapy and/or tumor microenvironment research
  • Hands-on experience in isolation and immune phenotyping of murine and human immune populations (e.g., cell sorting, flow cytometry), functional assessment of immune subsets (e.g., proliferation, cytotoxicity, cytokine/chemokine measurement), and murine tumor models including immune deficient and humanized mice
  • Familiarity with techniques for genetically modifying immune cells to express novel transgenes
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently

The salary range for this position is:
$148.500,00 - $214.500,00
