What Your Job Will Be LikeWe are seeking a Production Planning Control Specialist to join our dynamic team. On any given day, you may be called on to:
- Work with Product Realization Team (PRT) leads, engineers, project controllers, supply chain, manufacturing and testing to:
- Understand and manage customer demand in Oracle in order to develop and align coordinated production schedules that ensure production deliveries are met.
- Plan and conduct production, including requirements planning, shop floor scheduling, and inventory control.
- Develop and execute 'what-if' contingency scenarios to manage risk around constraints. Implement strategies (level loading, safety stock, inventory buffers, etc.) to mitigate overall programmatic risks.
- Move physical components between designated areas while adhering to electrostatic discharge (ESD) and traceability requirements.
- Understand production, testing and supply chain risks/issues to proactively coordinate service, equipment and material requirements, and develop contingency and recovery plans.
- Partner with various teams to ensure availability of materials and services (external/internal) of varying pedigrees to support development builds.
- Manage and present production plans and metrics to ensure proactive plan execution. Coordinate data and logistics for discussions in order to execute plans to meet deliveries.
- Facilitate tasks and materials for Parts Request and eCATTS for development and Post-Fab Production (PFP) efforts.
- Execute Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and FactoryWorks (FW) responsibilities, such as:
- Manage the accuracy of Fab or PRT demand, production, and export-controlled bonded stores inventory. Ensure alignment between Oracle ERP and FW information.
- Perform lot management activities using Oracle ERP, FactoryWorks and eCATT systems.
- Analyze operational and testing performance to improve planning parameters (lead-times, etc.) and Oracle planning projections (capacity and resource management). Utilize root cause/corrective actions to prevent issues and improve operational capabilities.
- Work with Development PRTs and Oracle personnel to ensure the creation of new items and routings in Oracle ERP and FW.
- Work with the IT team to develop vital FW infrastructure (i.e. reporting, system enhancements, etc.) to track and control production activities.
Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.
Salary Range$87,400 - $168,800
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require- Bachelor's degree in relevant field and five (5) years of directly relevant experience, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Experience in business operations planning, construction planning, financial planning, project planning, program planning, or complex production coordination experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.
Qualifications We Desire- Experience with Excel, Oracle or other ERP systems, and Primavera P6 software.
- Experience in demand planning, master planning, shop floor control, inventory control, and bill-of-materials.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively in a collaborative and interdisciplinary team environment.
- Proven leadership and/or project management skills.
- Experience working with the DOD, DOE, or other highly regulated manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with industry standard quality management systems (AS9100, ISO9000).
- Certified in a supply chain professional certification programs (i.e. APICS or CPIM).
- Evidence of high academic accomplishments.
- Proven success in prioritizing tasks and managing technical responses in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
About Our TeamThe Post-Fab Technologies Group is part of Sandia's Microsystems Engineering, Science, and Applications Center (MESA) complex which provides unique processing capability in semiconductor microfabrication. The System Engineering & Product Integration (05295) organization is responsible for 1) the integration of Oracle system operations into MESA's manufacturing environment, 2) MESA Post-Fab configuration management, and 3) the production, test and planning for Post-Fab microelectronic packaging. The 5295 team consolidates Post-Fab's management of demand, planning, scheduling, and product realization functions to coordinate all in- and out-of-house packaging activities. The team also work closely with MESA colleagues in 05230, 05260, 05250, 05270, 05240, 05280, and 05290 to successfully deliver Mark Quality product and other related services.
