Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for business development for a geographic area as a client advocate and/or functional expert.
  • Manage key client relationships and target key clients and pursuits.
  • Identify important industry trends and develop strategies at the regional level to keep Stantec at the forefront of the market.
  • Lead and support the business in decision making such as overall strategic direction, goal setting, identifying clients, market challenges and opportunities.
  • Drive growth of sector by identifying strategic clients and projects and support pursuits and capture iconic projects.
  • Engage our clients in meaningful discussions about their most critical issues and translate those discussions into opportunities to deliver solutions.
  • Foster relationships with subcontractors, construction partners, and teaming partners to support successful project pursuits and delivery.
  • Promote Stantec's full range of capabilities to expand relationships and increase market share within key accounts.
  • Coordinate with Stantec leadership and client contacts routinely to explore future opportunities, budget planning, and staff resourcing needs.
  • Represent Stantec at industry conferences, trade associations, client meetings, and networking events


Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor of Science Degree engineering. Master's Degree in related field preferred.
  • Professional engineering license in the State of California.
  • Minimum 15 years' of relevant experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working in diverse team environments with staff, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, within budget, on schedule, and in accordance with contractual requirements.

This position has the flexibility of working in a hybrid work environment with a mix of remote work and in office work. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

About the Team

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).

Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
