Infosys Public Services is seeking a Senior Principal- Business consulting to join our team.

Position Description (scope of work or brief narrative):
The Senior Principal- Business consulting will be responsible to develop, build and maintain strong relationships with IPS customers by understanding the customer's objectives deeply in specific, public sector policy domain areas; develop and obtain opportunities for IPS in these domains; and to lead a delivery effort that leaves a customer very happy (delighted) that they chose IPS. The successful candidate will, therefore, need specific and deep policy domain expertise in public utilities, lottery agencies and state labor, commerce, and higher education departments. Further, the candite need to fully understanding data use and reporting patterns of such agencies (e.g. Prevailing Wage/Davis-Bacon payroll system, Sectoral Partnership Workforce Data Systems and U.S. DOL's PIRL report, FMIS systems, longitudinal data systems), lead the scoping of products that meet client desires, lead IPS development teams that are both efficient and inspire customer confidence that the final product will achieve client aspiration.
  • Have domain expertise in utilities, lottery, labor, workforce, commerce or higher-ed field that will allow innovative capability/feature planning and design, manage the specifications for their development, and monitor their on-going operation to better deliver on customer experiences.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate the IPS value proposition to senior leaders on the aforementioned organizations
  • Act as a thought leader and subject matter expert in the utilities, lottery, labor, workforce, commerce or higher education product area, and ability to work with technologist to develop products that meet customer problems areas.
  • Create Journey Maps that re-imagine/re-define agency problematic process areas especially around data use, data reporting, job matching, and labor law enforcement.
  • Understand trends affecting customer and end-user adoption, and understand political risk run by our customers when they invest in new technological solutions.
  • Develop results-oriented strategies to solve complex and open-ended business problems.
  • Market Analysis and Product fitment in the state, federal and non-profit efforts to use data to match workers to in-demand jobs.
  • Customer success on managing customer engagements and requirements.
  • Leading business pursuits and product demonstrations before highly-knowledge decision makers in labor, workforce, commerce or higher education field: e.g. Labor Secretaries, Chief Data/Performance Officers, and CIOs.

Required years of experience, training, technical skills, and other requirements for job performance:
  • More than 9 years of experience senior positions in more than three of the domain areas: utilities, lottery agencies, on the labor, workforce development, commerce or higher education.
  • Experience in a decision-making level in a state or federal government agency. (State Labor/Commerce/Higher Education Chief of Staff, Secretary or Director of a state or federal Labor, Commerce and Higher Education department or leadership position in a public utility or lottery agency).
  • Experience in market-leading products in the public sector (key emphasis on utilities, lottery, labor, workforce development, commerce, or higher education).
  • Experience in working with enterprise customers like government agencies or businesses, both technical and business, and at all levels.
  • Experience with state, county and municipal legislative and rule-making processes.
  • Influence leaders in diverse functional areas, but especially utilities, lottery, labor, workforce, commerce, or higher education.
  • Strong business acumen including experience in estimation and pricing, market research, procurement and public policy advocacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt quickly to modern technology and processes.
  • Strong analytical ability with exposure to data science and AI
  • Teaming/Collaboration - Demonstrates exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a collaborative and empowering approach to achieve results through influence.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to develop lasting relationships with senior business or technical leaders with the highest levels of business acumen and technical expertise.
  • Experience working with industry leading/innovative platforms and products
  • Expertise in public sector project management and delivery especially in with utilities, lottery, labor, workforce, commerce or higher-ed policy domain.
  • PMP preferred.
  • Advanced degree (JD, MPA, MBA) strongly preferred.

Educational Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent is required from an accredited institution. Will consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience instead of every year of education. Candidates who have completed a Master's degree program are strongly preferred.

The job entails sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.

The estimated annual compensation range for this role will be as follows: $210,000 to $256,667
