Senior Pricing and Finance Consultant

This role has been designed as 'Hybrid' with a requirement that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:

Serves as a strategic consultant and trusted advisor to the North America Deal Desk, HPE business units, and sales organizations by developing and implementing pricing strategies that maximize profitability while maintaining market competitiveness. Partners closely with Sales, Business Development, Finance, Product Management, and other key stakeholders to position the HPE product portfolio effectively and establish pricing aligned with business objectives, sales strategies, and revenue recognition requirements.

Monitors market conditions, competitive dynamics, and business performance to ensure pricing effectiveness and profitability. Provides leadership and guidance in the development of pricing analysts through coaching, financial modeling, analysis, and strategic recommendations. Delivers training to the North America Deal Desk Pricing Advisors and Senior Pricing Advisors (Business Development Managers (BDMs)) and sales teams on deal structuring, pricing best practices, governance processes, and compliance requirements.

Recognized as a subject matter expert who applies advanced business, financial, and pricing knowledge to solve complex challenges. Leads strategic projects and cross-functional initiatives, influences organizational policy and process improvements, and exercises significant independent judgment in achieving business objectives.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement pricing strategies that support business growth, profitability, and market competitiveness.
• Partner with Sales, Business Development, Finance, and Product teams to structure customer deals and optimize financial outcomes.
• Provide complex financial analysis, business modeling, and strategic recommendations to support business objectives.
• Lead strategic pricing initiatives and projects involving multiple functions, organizations, or business units.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive the design and implementation of enhanced policies and procedures.
• Mentor and develop pricing advisors through coaching, training, and knowledge sharing.
• Deliver training and enablement programs on pricing methodologies, deal structuring, governance processes, and compliance requirements.
• Serve as a recognized expert and advisor on pricing, financial strategy, and business performance management.

Leadership and Scope

• Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and criteria for achieving objectives.
• Recognized as an authority in pricing and financial analysis.
• Leads large, cross-functional and cross-division projects that significantly impact organizational objectives and long-term business performance.
• Represents the organization with sales, fiancé, and executive leadership when appropriate.
• Provides guidance, coaching, and mentorship to the North America Deal Desk pricing advisors.

Education and Experience
Required

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• Typically 8+ years of experience in finance, pricing, business strategy, or financial analysis.
• Experience supporting large sales organizations and partnering with executive stakeholders.
• Experience working across multiple finance disciplines or business functions.

Preferred

• MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent advanced degree or professional certification.
• Experience in pricing strategy, deal structuring, and financial modeling.
• Experience supporting enterprise technology or solutions businesses.

Knowledge and Skills

• Expert knowledge of financial analysis, pricing methodologies, and accounting principles.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong financial modeling and forecasting capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
