Job Summary
We are seeking experienced PowerBI Developers to support a project focused on migrating existing reports from Qlik to PowerBI. The role will involve developing and converting PowerBI reports, working with Snowflake data, writing complex SQL queries, reviewing report templates, performing quality checks, and collaborating with the development team to resolve issues. Experience in the healthcare insurance or insurance industry is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain PowerBI reports and dashboards as part of a Qlik-to-PowerBI migration initiative.
• Review existing Qlik reports and understand reporting requirements and data structures to support accurate conversion to PowerBI.
• Develop PowerBI reports based on established templates and business requirements.
• Write and execute SQL queries in a Snowflake environment, including complex SELECT statements.
• Analyze new data sources and determine appropriate data requirements for PowerBI reporting.
• Perform quality checks and validation of converted reports before submission for review.
• Identify reporting and data issues and create tickets for resolution when required.
• Collaborate with lead developers and other PowerBI developers throughout the report migration and development process.
• Document report development activities and issues using Jira.
• Participate in training and knowledge-sharing activities to understand existing reports, conversion processes, and reporting standards.
Required Qualifications
• 5-7+ years of experience in PowerBI development.
• Strong hands-on experience developing PowerBI reports and dashboards.
• Strong SQL skills with experience working in a Snowflake environment.
• Ability to write complex SQL queries, primarily using SELECT statements.
• Experience analyzing data and translating reporting requirements into PowerBI solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple reporting assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Qlik, particularly in environments migrating from Qlik to PowerBI.
• Experience in the healthcare insurance or broader insurance industry.
• Experience with Jira for documentation, issue tracking, and project collaboration.
