Summary Description:

Reporting directly to the Director of Quality, the Senior Plant Quality Manager is responsible for leading the Quality Management System (QMS) across two manufacturing facilities. This role ensures compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements while driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, process capability, and operational excellence.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Lead and maintain compliance with the ISO 13485 Quality Management System, ensuring continued certification and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for the Quality Departments across two manufacturing sites.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the plant's quality testing and reporting systems.
  • Develop, coordinate, support, train, and facilitate all aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality issues, leading investigations, corrective actions, and ensuring customer requirements are consistently achieved.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to improve quality, reduce variation, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Manage quality specifications, testing methods, work instructions, inspection plans, and internal audit programs.
  • Ensure quality records are maintained in accordance with customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Establish and implement best practices across manufacturing operations while providing training and support to personnel on all shifts.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Customer Service to resolve quality concerns and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement preventive actions to improve overall process performance.
  • Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.


This is an ONSITE position located out of our Huntley, IL Facility

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Quality, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience leading the development and maintenance of a Quality Management System and quality testing/reporting processes within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with quality management systems, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, and all levels of the organization.

Preferred
  • ISO 13485 experience.
  • Six Sigma understanding of DMAIC methodology.
  • Experience with OQ/PQ, SPC, and statistical analysis.
  • Experience conducting internal and external quality audits.
