Job Summary:

The Senior Plant Engineering Specialist serves as the primary technical authority for the facility's critical infrastructure. This role is responsible for the strategic oversight, maintenance, and optimization of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, with a heavy emphasis on industrial chillers, high-voltage motors, and automated climate controls. The successful candidate will ensure 100% operational uptime for our medical device manufacturing environment, mitigating risk through advanced preventative maintenance and root-cause analysis.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Strategy: Lead the lifecycle management of all plant utilities, including commercial centrifugal chillers, compressed air systems, and cooling towers.
  • Electrical & Motor Mastery: Oversee the troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of industrial motors, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), and high-voltage electrical distribution systems.
  • System Optimization: Monitor and tune Building Automation Systems (BAS) and PLC-driven equipment to ensure precise environmental conditions required for dental implant production and digital restorative solutions.
  • Vendor & Project Management: Act as the primary point of contact for external mechanical/electrical contractors. Manage project budgets, verify work quality, and ensure all facility upgrades are completed on time and within financial targets.
  • Preventative Maintenance (PM) Ownership: Design and implement a world-class PM program that transitions the facility from a reactive to a predictive maintenance model.
  • Emergency Response: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for critical system failures, providing rapid diagnostic leadership to minimize manufacturing downtime.
