Job Summary: The Senior Manufacturing Controller is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all financial and accounting activities within the plant. This includes general management, cost accounting, payables/receivables, payroll, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. The Senior Manufacturing Controller will monitor plants operations, prepare financial reports, and lead the budgeting process. The role is a matrix level position with dual responsibilities towards Finance & Operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Overall financial leadership and accountability for Weatherford
- Coach, upgrade, and stabilize the plant controlling function.
- Financial right-hand to the plant manager
- Discipline and cadence owner for financial-operations reviews
- Risk, controls and governance lead for Weatherford
- Develop and maintain collaborative and trustful relationship with all budget owners and Executive Leaders.
- Review standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead to ensure accuracy and reflect current market conditions.
- Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitor and analyze cost variances and operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
- Assist in inventory management.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data and provide insights.
- Participate in audits and ensure accurate financial documentation.
- Supervise and manage 1 Plant Controller/Cost Accountant.
- Perform frequent walk-throughs of the local manufacturing sites to address production and costing issues.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in economics, Finance or equivalent by experience. Master's degree/MBA is a plus
- Ideally 5 to 7 years Controlling experience, with 5-10 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong skills in cost accounting, general ledger, financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Business level English.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Preferred Skills:- Experience working with ERP's/Power BI is key.
- Knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is requested
- Understanding of GAAP, IFRS and regulatory compliance.
