Wood is recruiting for a Senior Plant 3D Administrator to join its Projects business in Calgary, Alberta, supporting digital engineering and project delivery through Plant 3D administration, workshare, model-based workflows, and digital engineering technologies. This opportunity is Hybrid.

The Role
The Senior Plant 3D Administrator will serve as the technical authority for Autodesk Plant 3D, leading project setup, administration, configuration, standards, workshare environments, isometric deliverables, specifications, MTOs, and technical support across engineering projects. The role will also support Autodesk Construction Cloud and Autodesk Forma initiatives while driving automation, standardization, digital engineering, and model-based delivery across multiple offices.
Responsibilities
• Lead Plant 3D project setup, configuration, administration, and ongoing project support
• Develop and maintain Plant 3D project templates, standards, and execution workflows
• Administer Plant 3D project databases, user access, and system configurations
• Support software upgrades, deployments, migrations, and testing and perform project audits, health checks, and quality reviews
• Configure and maintain Plant 3D isometric styles and outputs, including title blocks, weld numbering, cut-piece tables, BOMs, annotations, and line numbering standards
• Troubleshoot complex isometric and deliverable generation issues and support fabrication and construction requirements through customized outputs
• Generate, validate, and maintain model-based material take-offs across multiple disciplines and develop automated reporting and data extraction solutions
• Develop and maintain Plant 3D catalogs, specifications, component libraries, piping classes, and custom components in accordance with client, project, and corporate standards
• Lead implementation and support of Plant 3D Workshare environments across multiple offices and execution centers
• Configure and maintain collaboration workflows and troubleshoot synchronization, replication, database, and performance issues
• Administer Autodesk Construction Cloud environments, including Autodesk Docs, Build, and BIM Collaborate Pro
• Establish and maintain Common Data Environments and support document management, model coordination, issue tracking, review workflows, and digital deliverables
• Support implementation and adoption of Autodesk Forma and emerging Autodesk technologies and contribute to digital engineering, BIM, digital twin, and model-based delivery initiatives
• Provide advanced technical support to engineering and design teams and coordinate with Autodesk and third-party vendors as required
• Develop automation solutions using Python, C#, .NET, PowerShell, and Plant 3D APIs to improve project setup, QA/QC, reporting, MTO generation, and data extraction
• Serve as the Plant 3D Subject Matter Expert, mentor designers, power users, and junior administrators, and develop standards, procedures, training materials, and best practices

Expected:
• Diploma or degree in Engineering Technology, CAD Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• 10+ years of Plant 3D administration experience within EPCM, industrial, mining, energy, or manufacturing environments
• Demonstrated experience supporting large, multidisciplinary engineering projects
• Experience supporting multi-office and distributed project execution teams
• Strong expertise in Plant 3D Workshare, isometric configuration, specifications, and MTO generation
• Advanced experience with Autodesk Plant 3D and AutoCAD
• Experience with Plant 3D project administration, Plant 3D Report Creator, and Data Manager
• Experience with SQL Server and Autodesk Construction Cloud, including Autodesk Docs, Autodesk Build, and BIM Collaborate Pro
• Strong understanding of model-based engineering workflows and digital project delivery
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
• Experience with Autodesk Forma
• Experience with ECE Worx Suite, including MTOWorx, RibbonWorx, or IsoWorx
• Experience with Power BI and development using Python, C#, .NET, or PowerShell
• Experience with Smart3D, AVEVA E3D, CADWorx, or OpenPlant
• Experience supporting Digital Twin and BIM delivery initiatives
