Full Job Description
SUMMARY

GIP is seeking an experienced Senior Planner/Scheduler to support a portfolio of major highway and bridge construction projects across Ontario. Reporting to the Director, Planning, you will play a key role in developing, monitoring, and analyzing multiple schedules active projects at any given time and serve as a trusted planning advisor to project management and operations teams.

This position is ideal for a planner who is confident working independently, enjoys collaborating with operations teams, and can provide practical scheduling solutions in a fast-paced construction environment.

PRIMARY SCOPE OF ROLE

  • Develop and maintain resource-loaded project schedules in Primavera P6.
  • Support projects from tender through construction and project closeout.
  • Analyze project schedules, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor critical path activities, schedule performance, and forecast completion dates.
  • Review subcontractor schedules and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and estimating teams to develop realistic construction plans and sequencing.
  • Prepare schedule updates, forecasts, and progress reporting for project teams and senior leadership.
  • Support schedule impact assessments, recovery planning, and change management initiatives.
  • Contribute to planning best practices and mentor junior scheduling staff when required.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Expected Base Salary: $85 000 - $115 000 per year. The actual base salary will depend on several factors including experience, qualifications, internal equity, work location and market expectations.
