Overview

As a Senior Planner, Creator Content, you will partner cross-functionally with clients, internal teams, external agencies, and creator partners to bring creator strategies to life from planning through execution. You will have a strong understanding of the media landscape, including the evolution of the creator economy, paid and organic social, and social commerce. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with Creator teams, Paid Social, Digital Media, Video, Creative, and other key collaborators to deliver best-in-class creator content through strong partnership and seamless execution. You'll also be responsible for monitoring campaign performance, identifying optimization opportunities, and shaping creator and content standards across platforms and formats. Success in this role requires a strategic, innovative attitude and a passion for advancing the intersection of content, commerce, and media to drive meaningful business results.

Responsibilities

As Senior Planner, Creator Content, your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to complete creator/influencer, community, and partnership initiatives that support brand growth across e-commerce and retail channels.
  • Serving as a direct liaison to client collaborators, providing strategic campaign recommendations and identifying first-to-market and pilot opportunities for Walmart.
  • Partnering closely with activation and analytics teams to drive performance, optimizations, real-time solutions, and operational efficiencies that improve creator strategy and campaign impact.
  • Identifying whitespace opportunities across social platforms while maintaining a strong understanding of evolving consumer, shopping, and social behavior trends.
  • Evaluating and adopting new tools and technologies that deliver measurable benefits and support evolving business needs.
  • Managing external creative agencies and collaborating with internal teams to ensure content consistently aligns with creative briefs and business objectives.
  • Synthesizing data and insights from multiple sources to develop innovative creative concepts, strategic recommendations, and new ideas.
  • Inspiring internal teams and business partners to embrace engaging content strategies and innovative activation approaches that attract and retain Walmart customers.
  • Partnering with Business Affairs and Digital Investment teams to facilitate partner agreements, campaign setup, media buys, and operational execution.
  • Evaluate and vet creators to align with campaign objectives and content pillars.

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in social media, marketing, and/or digital advertising management and execution.
  • Previous client management experience and exposure.
  • Preferred experience with social and trend tools and technologies, including project and content management, community management, social commerce, data analytics, and digital innovation platforms (e.g., CreatorIQ, Meta Ads Manager, Quid).
  • Strong cultural skill, including knowledge of retail, pop culture, and emerging trends.
  • Proven ability to cultivate creator content and provide constructive creative feedback that helps creators produce their best work.
  • Highly diligent, with excellent prioritization and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while effectively managing project deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, engage, and collaborate across functions and at varying levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, think critically, and leverage diverse data sets to inform strategy and develop innovative approaches to reaching target audiences.
  • Solid understanding of competitor activities, leading brand initiatives, and award-winning creative work across social media, creator partnerships, and digital content.

Compensation Range: USD $66,120.00 - USD $101,790.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
