Job Summary:In this role, you will provide planning and scheduling leadership across major project scopes or complex projects. You will drive schedule integration, risk-informed planning, and data-driven decision-making, ensuring alignment with project execution strategy and organizational standards. You will serve as a trusted advisor to project leadership, lead complex schedule analysis efforts, and provide guidance and mentorship to planning team members. #LI-SM2
Major Responsibilities:- Lead the development, integration, and management of complex, multi-discipline project schedules in Primavera P6 (or equivalent), ensuring alignment with project execution strategy and key milestones.
- Define schedule architecture, including structure, coding, and sequencing, to support effective planning, control, and reporting.
- Lead and coordinate schedule integration across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and subcontractor scopes.
- Lead advanced schedule analysis, including critical path evaluation, float consumption, productivity assessments, and trend analysis.
- Lead the identification, evaluation, and communication of schedule risks, uncertainties, and opportunities.
- Lead and support schedule risk analysis activities (qualitative and quantitative), including evaluation of scenario outcomes and confidence levels.
- Develop and recommend execution strategies, mitigation plans, and recovery approaches to address schedule risks and performance gaps.
- Provide forward-looking insights and forecasts based on schedule performance, trends, and risk analysis to support project and management decision-making.
- Serve as a key interface with project leadership and, where required, client representatives on schedule strategy, status, and risk.
- Lead the preparation and delivery of executive-level schedule reports and presentations, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Ensure adherence to project controls procedures, scheduling standards, and best practices; drive continuous improvement and standardization initiatives.
- Mentor and guide planners and schedulers at multiple levels, supporting capability development and knowledge transfer.
Education and Experience Requirements:- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:- Extensive experience leading planning and scheduling efforts on large, complex EPC projects or programs.
- Advanced expertise in Primavera P6, including schedule development, integration, analysis, and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to lead critical path analysis, schedule risk evaluation, and scenario planning.
- Strong understanding of project execution strategies, the EPC lifecycle, and interface management across disciplines.
- Proven ability to provide planning and scheduling insights that support project and management decision-making.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience engaging with senior leadership and clients.
- Experience providing technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to planning teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to dynamic project conditions.
Preferred Skills and Experience- Experience with schedule risk analysis tools and methodologies, such as Project Risk Analysis (PRA) and Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA).
- Familiarity with Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) concepts and implementation.
- Experience supporting the development of Basis of Schedule documents and project execution strategies.
- Exposure to data analytics and visualization tools, such as Power BI.
