Project Overview:

Bechtel Infrastructure's Renewables & Clean Power business line is seeking qualified project controls professionals for forthcoming combined cycle power plant projects planned in Texas and Wyoming. The project teams will be initially based in Reston, VA; following contract award, selected candidates will relocate to designated project sites. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the reemerging power business supporting our customers and society.

Job Summary:

In this position, you will work with the project team to lead a team to manage the entire set of planning activities for assigned projects. You will identify schedule trends, analyze data to provide innovative solutions to scheduling challenges, ensure schedule updates are completed on time, and be responsible for reporting requirements. Your leadership will be essential in driving scheduling efficiency and project success.#LI-ML1

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manages planning activities for an area within a project, including Level 3 and Level 4 schedules
  • Identifies schedule trends for management attention
  • Analyzes data to provide innovative solutions to scheduling challenges
  • Ensures schedule updates are completed in time to support project reporting requirements
  • Supports project organizational and administrative activities


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8 -10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis, both in the field and at the home office.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with PC operating systems and various essential software applications; advanced knowledge of multiple discipline-specific programs currently utilized at Bechtel, such as Primavera P6, Primavera Risk Analysis, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Possesses an intermediate understanding of conducting Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis.
  • Has an intermediate familiarity with engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup processes as executed by Bechtel
