Job DescriptionThe Senior Philanthropy Officer is responsible for identifying, evaluating, cultivating, and soliciting current and prospective principal gift donors and is an active participant in making strategic plans to strengthen the organization's fundraising capacity. In partnership with the Chief Philanthropy Officer is expected to perform at a senior level, which includes working with key team members of the organization to create proposals and asks based on the priorities of Providence Tarzana Foundation and having advanced knowledge of the organizations strategic initiatives to propose initiatives and cultivation events. Key responsibilities include actively participating in budget preparation, program evaluation and strategic planning and will manage a group of assigned donors to ensure they are retained as donors and upgraded in their giving and involvement.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years Philanthropy.
- 5 years Fundraising through employee campaigns, grants, annual giving, special events and major gifts.
- Experience with personal computers.
Preferred Qualifications:- Planning, coordinating and supervising meetings, volunteer boards and committees.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and data base management.
Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
