Full Job Description
Come break new ground in high-speed I/O validation with our engineering-focused team. This position offers a great opportunity to work on next-generation PCI Express technologies, validating and characterizing groundbreaking silicon products from PCIe Gen5 through Gen7. As a Senior PCIe Analog Characterization Engineer, you will be responsible for electrical validation and compliance testing of PCIe interfaces, working closely with PHY, silicon development, firmware, package, board, and signal integrity teams to ensure products meet PCI-SIG compliance requirements and deliver industry-leading performance.

Responsibilities:

Conduct electrical compliance validation of PCIe TX and RX for PCIe Gen5, Gen6, and Gen7 devices.

Complete PCI-SIG compliance measurements using high-speed oscilloscopes, BERTs, and protocol analyzers.
  • Characterize high-speed interfaces and debug electrical, interoperability, and link training issues.

Develop and complete validation plans, analyze results, and provide clear technical reports.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams across multiple functions to identify root causes and drive product improvements.
  • Support PCI-SIG Compliance Workshops and product qualification activities.


Necessary Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience validating high-speed serial interfaces, with strong expertise in PCI Express.
  • Practical experience conducting PCIe TX and RX compliance testing, including measurements such as eye diagrams, jitter analysis, equalization verification, and receiver tolerance testing.
  • Strong understanding of PCIe architecture, link training, signal integrity, and high-speed electrical measurements.
  • Experience working with PCIe Gen5 is required; familiarity with Gen6 and Gen7 is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency using laboratory equipment including high-bandwidth oscilloscopes, BERTs, protocol analyzers, and network analyzers.
  • Experience working with PCIe conformance software and automated testing environments.
  • Programming or scripting experience with Python or similar languages for test automation is a plus.

Salary Range:

$198,100-$268,000 per year
