As a Senior Paralegal, you will be responsible for providing legal support for the US Legal team in a broad range of areas, including litigation support, forms management, legal correspondence, corporate governance, reporting, legal research, licensing, invoice processing, administrative duties, and other special projects as needed.

The position requires collaboration with paralegals and attorneys to coordinate and perform tasks proficiently with guidance from a legal operations manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, proven detail-oriented skills and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Day to Day
  • Overall Support: Provide strategic and administrative support to US Legal, enhancing the department's overall effectiveness across legal procedures and operations.
  • Litigation Support: Serve as primary support in managing defensive litigation matters, including drafting responses to subpoenas and complaints.
  • Forms Management: Draft updates to existing forms and assist in the creation of new forms as needed; support document generation process for both front-end and back-end legal documents.
  • Legal Correspondence: Draft legal correspondence including letters, memos and formal communications for attorneys and internal stakeholders.
  • Corporate Governance: Maintain corporate minute books, prepare consents, resolutions, and internal approvals; support board meeting preparation, legal entity formation, and other organizational changes.
  • Reporting: Serve as the primary person responsible for completing required reporting.
  • Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research on federal, state, and local laws and regulations and provide attorneys with clear, well-organized analyses to support compliance and strategic initiatives.
  • Licensing: Serve as back-up support for drafting all state and local registrations, licenses, and regulatory examination documentation.
  • Invoice Processing: Provide back-up support for processing legal invoices received on a regular basis.
  • Administrative Duties: Serve as back-up support for general administration tasks within the Legal Department, including mail handling, check requests, signature requests, document maintenance, and travel coordination.
  • Special Projects: Support special projects on an as-needed basis, including lease/loan file due diligence and program agreement review and maintenance.

Essentials:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of paralegal work experience.
  • Enhanced level of experience and knowledge to perform legal assignments with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word, SharePoint, Excel & PowerPoint) and willingness to learn company specific software and related legal applications.

Applicable pay range

$67,180.00 - $100,770.00

Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills, years of relevant experience you possess, and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range, especially those with less experience or qualification.

This position is subject to the terms of DLL's compensation plans and policies. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
