Your role at Clorox:

At Clorox, we believe people do their best work when they can make a meaningful impact. As a Senior Packaging Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering packaging system capabilities that enable innovation, efficiency, and growth across our manufacturing network.
In this role, you’ll partner with cross-functional teams to lead capital projects—from concept through start-up—while driving safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. This position requires 100% on site with minimal travel required.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the design, installation, commissioning, and start-up of packaging systems for new products, upgrades, and capacity improvements.

  • •Manage medium-scale capital projects, including scope definition, schedule, budget, and resource planning.

  • •Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams across Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Operations.

  • •Apply Continuous Improvement, Lean, and Early Management principles to optimize performance and reliability.

  • •Identify and deliver cost savings, productivity improvements, and sustainability initiatives.

  • •Ensure projects meet safety, quality, regulatory, and environmental standards.

  • •Evaluate and manage external vendors, consultants, and equipment suppliers.

  • •Analyze performance data and solve complex technical problems using a structured, data driven approach.

  • •Coach and support Operations and Maintenance teams to build technical capability and drive long-term results.

What we look for:

•Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or 10+ years of packaging/project experience

•5+ years of engineering experience, including capital project execution in manufacturing environments.

•Experience managing project scope, timelines, and budgets.

•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

•Proven ability to drive results and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

•Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) or manufacturing environments.

•Background in Operations and/or maintenance/reliability engineering roles.

•Experience with 2D and 3D modeling software (ACAD, Solidworks, etc.).

•Knowledge of CI / Lean / TPM methodologies.

•Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office tools.

•Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.


–Zone A: $90,900 - $170,100

–Zone B: $83,400 - $155,900

–Zone C: $75,800 - $141,700

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
