Overview

We are seeking a full-time Senior Oracle ERP Application Analyst (Financials) at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be gathering and documenting detailed financial functional system requirements and collaborates with others to determine moderately complex and/or solution designs. Identifies advanced test scenarios and tests customizations and configurations.

Essential Functions
  • Configure, test, implement and support Oracle eBusiness Suite applications and other business applications
  • Gathers and documents detailed requirements for business needs and collaborates with others to determine moderately complex functional and/or solution designs
  • Demonstrates a detailed understanding and execution of the software development lifecycle
  • Demonstrates proficiency with troubleshooting and research tools (i.e. myOracleSupport, e-TRM, Implementation Guides, etc.) to perform moderately complex troubleshooting
  • Identifies interdependencies in programs
  • Identifies more advanced test scenarios and adequately tests customizations and configurations
  • Responsible for planning small/medium sized projects or tasks
  • Makes substantial contributions to determining feasibility of goals/objectives
  • Provides reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem-solving techniques including ability to find root cause and corrective action for given problems
  • Serve as a mentor to less experienced Application Analysts (Application Analyst 1)
  • Demonstrates proficient use and knowledge of established standards and procedures
  • Consistently demonstrates quality and effectiveness in work documentation and organization
  • Understands business impacts of issues as they relate to IT owned solutions
  • Supports application maintenance activities including patching and versioning updates

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or related field AND a minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR anequivalent combination of education and experience
  • Outstanding academics with the demonstrated ability to apply learned knowledge
  • Demonstrated experience in successful implementation of technology solutions
  • Experience testing custom applications and Oracle patches
  • Experience with PL/SQL (Programming Language/Structured Query Language)
  • Experience with Oracle application tools (e.g. Workflow, etc.)
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a large team or departmental setting
  • Experience with implementing "Order to Cash", "Procure to Pay" or "Plan to Manufacture" solutions to/from ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in at least three of the following Oracle EBS modules: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger,
  • Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and/or Cost Management.
  • Experience with tax determination solutions such as Vertex, EBTax, Avalara or similar applications.
  • Experience working with regulatory country localizations within an ERP system.
  • Experience with payment integration processes.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS Financial and Order Management modules including pricing, taxing, invoicing, receipts, and cash reconciliation.
  • Experience with e-Invoicing and e-Reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong understanding of how processes, data, and technology can enable problems and opportunities
  • Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time to support business operations, customer engagements, project implementations, and collaboration with global teams

  • Experience operating within the Agile project management philosophy, specifically scrum methodology
