Description The Senior Oracle DBA will provide database administration, development, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support across enterprise on-premises and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities- Administer, maintain, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise Oracle database environments.
- Support Oracle Database, Oracle Grid, Oracle RMAN, PL/SQL, and related database technologies.
- Create, configure, and manage standalone Oracle databases.
- Perform database monitoring, performance tuning, backup, recovery, and capacity planning.
- Support High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments and execute/test recovery procedures.
- Perform software installations, database/server patching, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and triage database and application integration issues.
- Manage service requests, incidents, and change requests through ServiceNow.
- Support database security, auditing, encryption, and compliance requirements.
- Develop scripts and automation to improve database administration and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with technical teams, application owners, and government stakeholders.
- Document activities and contribute to required weekly support reports.
Required Qualifications- Minimum 8 years of relevant Oracle/database experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database, Oracle Grid, Oracle RMAN, and PL/SQL.
- Experience with HA/DR, backup and recovery, performance tuning, patching, monitoring, and incident management.
- Working knowledge of SQL and related enterprise database technologies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with technical and management teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Oracle professional certification is strongly preferred.
