About the JobAs the
Senior Operations Manager, you will own US customer operations - the function that connects our commercial momentum to actual customer outcomes. That means managing camera ordering and inventory from our manufacturing partners, getting hardware to new customers quickly and in step with our sales pipeline, standing up and running our US camera servicing function, and owning the contract execution process for new commercial agreements. Today these workflows are manual and founder-led. Your job is to take them over, run them well, and systematically redesign them for scale. This is a role for someone who has done this kind of work before, takes ownership seriously, and knows the difference between running a process and building one that doesn't need you.
Optain is at an inflection point. We have FDA clearance, a growing camera footprint, and a commercial pipeline that is moving fast. The operational infrastructure to support that growth is being built in real time, and this role sits at the center of that work.
This is a remote, US-based position.
What You'll Do- Own camera ordering, inventory management, and fulfillment -- manage the relationship with our factory, maintain accurate inventory, and ensure new customers receive and activate cameras in step with our sales momentum.
- Stand up and run US camera servicing operations, including returns, repairs, and warranty coordination.
- Own end-to-end contract execution for US commercial agreements -- work with the sales team on commercial terms, draft and redline customer contracts, and drive them through to execution.
- Build and maintain the contract lifecycle process, including workflow tooling, signing authority routing, and playbooks that make future contracting faster and more repeatable.
- Manage legacy contract obligations inherited from an acquired business and support ongoing compliance with existing customer agreements.
- Draft internal policies and SOPs to close operational gaps as the company grows.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities across customer ops workflows -- the goal is a function that scales without adding headcount linearly.
What You'll Need- 4-7 years of experience in business or operations roles, with direct exposure to hardware logistics, customer contract management, or both
- Startup experience strongly preferred -- you have worked in a Series A or B environment and are comfortable operating without a defined playbook
- Prior experience in management consulting or investment banking is a plus -- we value the analytical rigor and work product standards that come with it
- Experience in a regulated industry is a strong plus; medical device, IVD, or health tech with a hardware component is ideal
- A systems thinker who doesn't just execute tasks but asks how to make the next iteration easier and more scalable
- Comfortable using AI tools in day-to-day work; experience building or automating workflows with AI tooling is a strong plus
- Exceptional written communication and attention to detail
- Someone who takes ownership seriously, communicates proactively, and is comfortable operating with limited structure -- you will often be defining the process, not following one
- US-based, comfortable with remote work and occasional travel for team offsites and customer engagements
What We Offer- Competitive compensation package, including a strong base salary, performance-based bonus, and the chance to earn upside.
- Top-tier health, vision, dental, and commuter benefits.
- Generous monthly health and wellness reimbursement.
- Unparalleled exposure to new business building at the intersection of artificial intelligence and healthcare.
- The opportunity to help solve difficult problems and collaborate with world-class experts from healthcare provider networks, academia, and industry.
- A chance to work with a highly talented, close-knit team and world-leading mentors who can act as a support network and sounding board throughout your entrepreneurial journey.
Salary Range- $130,000 - $160,000 base salary, depending on experience and alignment with role expectations.
