Full Job Description
Overview

This role provides senior-level technical engineering and troubleshooting support for enterprise clients running hybrid environments that span legacy Windows and Linux systems and Kubernetes-based infrastructure. Responsibilities center on root-cause analysis of complex, multi-tier defects - reproducing issues in controlled environments, engineering fixes, and validating them through automated test suites.

The role also carries direct ownership of delivery infrastructure: building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps), managing containerized workloads on AWS EKS (Helm, autoscaling, rolling deployments), and administering legacy server infrastructure - patching, hardening, and tuning -while supporting migration to Kubernetes. Observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana, or Datadog are used to monitor system health and resolve anomalies proactively.

This person partners with Product, Development, and Implementation teams during release cycles and collaborates with distributed Product Operations peers, providing technical mentorship on legacyadministration, containerization, and automation practices.

Responsibilities
  • Provide senior technical and operational support to enterprise clients for product-related issues across hybrid environments spanning legacy Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes-based infrastructure, including deep-dive root-cause analysis on complex, multi-tier system defects.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via email and phone promptly and professionally.
  • Host online troubleshooting and investigation sessions on customer production environments running on legacy Windows and Linux servers as well as Kubernetes-orchestrated infrastructure.
  • Collect and document all necessary problem details, logs, and diagnostic data pulled from legacy Windows/Linux hosts and Kubernetes cluster telemetry alike to drive effective, evidence-based resolution.
  • Successfully reproduce customer-reported issues in controlled test environments spanning legacy Windows/Linux systems and containerized Kubernetes platforms for root-cause analysis.
  • Develop custom utilities, workarounds, and new solutions to resolve critical issues and improve product functionality across both legacy on-premises infrastructure and modern containerized platforms.
  • Implement fixes for defects identified during troubleshooting or reported by customers and validate fixes through automated test suites prior to release.
  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps) to automate build, test, and deployment of application code, hotfixes, and service packs across legacy Windows/Linux servers and Kubernetes environments.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage containerized workloads on AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), including Helm chart management, namespace configuration, pod autoscaling, and zero-downtime rolling deployments.
  • Administer and maintain legacy Windows Server and Linux infrastructure supporting existing production workloads, including patching, hardening, and performance tuning, while supporting migration of applicable workloads to Kubernetes.
  • Monitor production system health, performance, and capacity across legacy Windows/Linux servers and Kubernetes clusters using observability tooling (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana, or Datadog) and proactively identify and remediate anomalies before they impact customers.
  • Assist Product and Development teams with performance analysis, functional testing, and validation during release cycles (service packs, hotfixes, etc.), including automated regression testing within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Partner with Product Implementation and Development teams to address complex issues and ensure smooth, well-orchestrated product delivery.
  • Collaborate virtually with other Product Operations staff to ensure seamless teamwork and knowledge sharing across distributed teams.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to Product Support and Product Operations teams, including on legacy Windows/Linux administration, containerization, automation, and deployment pipeline practices.
  • Deliver a consistent, responsive, and technically sound customer experience in every interaction.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.
