Job Title: Senior Nuclear Project Manager
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Type: Direct Hire
Work Model: Onsite

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering and technical consulting projects supporting nuclear power generation.
  • Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, resources, and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular project updates and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure high-quality project execution and successful delivery.
  • Review and approve engineering reports, technical documentation, and project deliverables for quality and compliance.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and project team members, promoting technical development and best practices.
  • Assist with business development initiatives by identifying new opportunities, strengthening client partnerships, and supporting strategic growth efforts.
  • Lead proposal development efforts, including preparing responses to RFPs, RFQs, EOIs, and other competitive pursuits.
  • Support project execution across multiple regions when required and collaborate with internal teams to share technical expertise.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable nuclear industry codes, standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality management processes.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible experience in the nuclear power industry.
  • Experience managing engineering projects within a consulting or engineering services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of light water reactor technology and advanced reactor systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead project teams while successfully managing project budgets, schedules, and overall performance.
  • Comprehensive understanding of nuclear industry codes, standards, and engineering best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of multidisciplinary engineering coordination and project execution.
  • Ability to interpret and evaluate engineering documentation, including P&IDs, PFDs, single-line diagrams (SLDs), plot plans, and related technical drawings.
  • Proven success developing client relationships and supporting business development initiatives.
  • Experience preparing proposals and managing competitive bid submissions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Experience preparing technical reports, project documentation, and executive-level presentations.
  • Demonstrated history of delivering engineering projects on time and within budget.
  • Prior leadership experience managing engineering professionals and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Familiarity with engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), and related project delivery processes.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to support project and client needs.
