What you will do
- Monitor & Optimize Networks: Oversee the customer's Risk Management Framework and related networks to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Support System Upgrades: Patch, upgrade, and migrate Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls to maintain network integrity and performance.
- Contribute to Agile Development: Participate in agile activities, including release planning, sprint planning, and retrospectives, to incorporate lessons learned into engineering processes.
- Collaborate with Developers: Work closely with developers throughout the application development lifecycle to build features that deliver value to our customers.
What you need to have- Experience: Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience, including a minimum of 3 years as a Network Engineer (within the last 3 years).
- Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly (required).
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Advanced expertise in Linux and Windows environments, with extensive system administration skills to manage complex network infrastructures.
- Certifications:
- CCNA or CCNP certification (required).
- Security+ certification (required).
What we'd like you to have- Experience patching and upgrading Linux servers and networking resources.
- Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible or Salt scripts.
- Experience with AWS cloud environments and virtual machines (VMs).
