JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Opportunity

Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbott's Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for treatment and management of diseases and other conditions.

The position of Senior National Sales Manager is within our Toxicology business unit located in remote offices. This role is responsible for the overall business sales performance for US Toxicology products and direct performance of Sales Managers and their teams as well as National / Regional Account Managers to include coaching, development, skills training and product knowledge development

This remote, field-based role requires candidates to be based in the United States, ideally near a major airport.

What You'll Work On
  • Manage the strategy and execution of sales and marketing plans
  • Assist in the creation of new strategies and business development initiatives based on market trends and customer input
  • Manage sales revenue and expense control expectations
  • Manage sales revenue and expense control expectations
  • Provide forecasts for new business based on sales funnel and pipeline
  • Represent the company at professional meetings, trade shows, conferences, exhibits and promotional events as outlined by management.
  • Use sales reports, salesforce, PowerBI, OneAlere, On Tracc, smartsheet and other tools provided to track sales activity, goals and monitor National/ Regional Account Manager performance
  • Demonstrates commitment to the development, implementation and effectiveness of Quality Management System per ISO, FDA, and other regulatory agencies
  • Ensure all sales activities are in accordance with company code of conduct.
  • Enforce and monitor pricing discipline
  • Personally, observe the performance of Sales Team Managers and National/Regional Account Managers in the field on a routine basis, provide feedback and identify growth opportunities leading to performance improvement.
  • Manage call cycle expectations
  • Work with Sales managers and National /Regional Account Managers to develop sales plans to enhance revenue for specific assigned accounts or territory.
  • Monitor leads and new business opportunities to maximize success
  • Provide sales performance and marketing feedback to the company's leadership team.
  • Gather and provide feedback on competition and other market trends and forces potentially impacting sales.
  • Liaisons with company's field technical service team and/or technical consultants to ensure customer's needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Work with sales administration, finance, manufacturing, shipping and R&D to effectively support customer requirements.
  • Ensure National and Regional Account Managers follow established guidelines for contracts, quotations, RFP's.
  • Responsible for profitable growth and all sales functions to deliver sales commitments
  • Manages performance of staff towards department and Company goals, including feedback on performance, appraisals, recommendations for merit increases or necessary disciplinary actions, communication to employees on performance, etc.
  • Understands and is aware of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job; has awareness of device defects that may occur in their area of responsibility, including product design, verification and validation, manufacturing and testing activities
  • Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects compliance with established business policies
  • Other duties as assigned, according to the changing needs of the business
  • Leads the business positively and consistent with the company's policies and practices; build productive internal/external working relationships

$129,300.00 - $258,700.00
