The Senior Multimedia Specialist serves as an integral part of both short- and longer- form storytelling within CXA, supporting all aspects of video production, both pre- and post-production. This position requires strong organizational and storytelling skills, the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and experience with cutting-edge AI- based audio-visual applications.
Roles & Responsibilities:- Produce high-quality video and photography that captures key moments, events, quotes, energy, and behind-the-scenes content that helps tell the MITRE story.
- Partner with CXA and other stakeholders to tell compelling stories that simplify complex technology and other subject matter.
- Contribute to the development of visual concepts, shot lists, storyboards, scripts, and other visual storytelling approaches.
- Work with multimedia and design teams to develop repeatable production workflows that improve speed, quality, and efficiency.
- Explore new formats and AI-powered tools to modernize our video and photography efforts.
- Collaborate with extended CXA team to assess performance data to refine our video strategy, ensuring content adds value and strengthens the MITRE brand.
Basic Qualifications:- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
- Exceptional video production and post-production skills.
- Strong photography skills, including live event coverage.
- Extensive knowledge/experience with AI based audio-visual tools such as:
- ChatGPT
- Nano Banana
- Seedance
- Kling
- ElevenLabs
- Adobe Firefly
- Topaz
- Brevidy or similar tool
- Advanced video/photography skills with strong knowledge of Canon R5c and C400 cameras.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-based environment and respond to changing schedules and priorities.
- Edit and assemble recorded raw material into a suitable, branded finished product ready for distribution; these materials may include camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects.
- Assist with in-studio and location shoots.
- Extensive knowledge/experience with Adobe CC Suite.
- Experience with FrameIO, LucidLink, and various project management software.
- Advanced post-production skills, including:
- Non-linear video editing (Adobe preferred).
- Advanced knowledge of color correction.
- Strong sense of storytelling.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of AI applications and usage.
- Ability to work 3 days per week onsite in McLean, VA or Bedford, MA
Preferred Qualifications: - Ability to work within a highly structured, cloud-based workflow while collaborating across multimedia projects, sharing resources, and adapting to changing priorities.
- Excellent client relationship management and interpersonal skills with the ability to initiate and foster collaborative relationships both internally and externally.

Salary compensation range and midpoint:$98,800 - $123,500 - $148,200 Annual
