Senior Model Based Systems Engineer to join our team working
remotely. This is a
remote position.
As a Senior Model Based Systems Engineer, you will provide technical guidance and workload management for our staff of modelers, contributing to the success of our projects. In this position, you will collaborate with customers to validate and refine each approach.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Architecting, developing, and integrating MBSE models of Navy systems and processes to be used for documentation, engineering analysis, and simulation
- Evaluate technical options to determine the optimum SysML approach in consultation with customers and management
- Reviewing, extracting, and abstracting data from technical documentation for incorporation in system models
- Manage the implementation of the selected architecture within Cameo Systems Modeler, including assigning tasks to modelers and ensuring the work meets the intent of the design
- Integrate Cameo models with databases and data visualization tools to meet customer reporting requirements.
- Guiding and mentoring junior modelers
- Performing quality assurance reviews of models and other work products
- Maintaining configuration management of models and repositories
- Interfacing with program managers to plan workforce availability and assigning tasking to modelers
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field from an ABET-accredited program
- 5+ years of systems engineer experience or experience working with NAVSEA systems in an engineering role
- 4+ years of experience with Cameo Systems Modeler
- 2+ years of relevant technical leadership
- 2+ years of experience with Jira and Confluence
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with shipboard control systems, operational technology, and/or network infrastructure.
- Experience with Navy technical documentation (e.g., technical manuals, installation drawings).
- A relevant certification such as INCOSE or OCSMP.
- Experience with MySQL, Databricks, and PowerBI.
Clearance Requirements:- U.S. Citizenship required and an active or current Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time.
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
The projected compensation range for this position is $89,100.00-$148,200.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
