Position Overview
Spiral Solutions & Technologies, Inc. (SS&T) is seeking a Senior Military Operations Planner to support USSTRATCOM/J7 General, Campaign, and Strategic Assessments under the JETARS contract. This position supports campaign, risk, operations, and joint force assessments through senior-level military operations analysis, mission analysis, planning team participation, and senior leader briefings.
Security Clearance Requirements
This position supports classified programs and requires access to classified systems and material. All contractor personnel must be United States citizens and possess a Top-Secret clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information, Nuclear Command and Control/Extremely Sensitive Information, and Special Access Program access prior to commencing work.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct graduate-level quality analysis and assessment of USSTRATCOM core mission areas.
• Perform at the senior operations assessment subject matter expert level by participating in USSTRATCOM, component, CCMD, and Joint Staff planning teams.
• Apply knowledge of policy and strategy guidance, deterrence theory, strategic deterrence strategy, Joint Operations Planning Process, and Joint Risk Analysis Methodology in assessment work.
• Develop and refine measurement criteria including MOEs, MOPs, and scoring standards.
• Produce commander-quality estimates, perform mission analysis, and develop, update, and maintain operations assessments.
• Enter logical and defendable assessments into databases and articulate assessment logic for objectives, effects, and risk.
• Produce graduate-level briefings and written reports with in-depth analysis and brief findings to senior leaders
Required Qualifications
• At least 15 years of practical Department of War military operations experience.
• At least 3 years of experience working at the Office of the Secretary of War, Joint Staff, CCMD, service, or MAJCOM or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience as an operations planner.
• A master's degree or higher.
• Joint Professional Military Education Phase 2 graduate.
• Senior Service School required.
• Operations center experience required.
• In lieu of the 15-year experience requirement, at least 8 years of practical assessment experience assigned to USSTRATCOM/J7.
• U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting campaign, risk, or strategic assessments within USSTRATCOM/J7.
• Experience briefing senior leaders on assessment findings.
