Full Job Description
Responsible for developing new metrology applications and recipes, analyzing the results from measurements, and implementing groundbreaking solutions into the R&D pilot line manufacturing environment. Developing optical overlay/registration metrology applications on next generation 3D NAND/DRAM processes within Fab 4 and qualification for technology transfers to production fabs. Driving the understanding of new metrology technology and measurement techniques to ensure that our measurement capabilities meet the technical device roadmaps. Partnering with metrology equipment vendors on continuous improvement of software/hardware and development of new measurement techniques. Optimizing and maintaining the calibration of metrology systems. Working closely with process development and process integration engineers to optimize measurements for multiple device process flows and layer stacks. Evaluations new and innovative metrology tools to determine the lowest Cost of ownership solutions with the highest accuracy and precision for deployment in R&D and global manufacturing. Crafting and optimizing the layout of metrology targets to improve measurement quality. May telecommute part-time.
Employer will accept a Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Position requires:
1. Optical based metrology: Photo lithography overlay/registration, ellipsometry, scatterometry and its application to 3D NAND/DRAM metrology cases;
2. JMP, and programming languages including: MATLAB, Python, C, and C++;
3. Optical thin films or CDSEM;
4. Process and equipment related experience in instrumentation and calibration procedures;
5. Semiconductor manufacturing processes: Diffusion, CVD, Etch, and Lithography;
6. Device process flows: NAND and RAM.
