Job DescriptionOverviewWe are seeking a
Senior MEP Estimator to join our team in
Houston, TX, Austin, TX, Atlanta, GA, Alexandria, VA, or any other location where there is an AtkinsRealis office. This role is a hybrid and will require you to come to the office 3 days a week.
The ideal candidate will work on a wide variety of projects and sectors and must have Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) estimating experience.
Your role- Analyzes blueprints and other documents and prepares detailed cost estimates
- Performs accurate quantity takeoffs of available design documents
- Leads the development of conceptual and feasibility cost model estimates utilizing historic benchmarking information and industry experience in order to develop complete early stage cost estimate forecasting.
- Obtains accurate and up to date pricing information from databases, contractors, suppliers, etc. to utilize in estimates.
- Reviews and finalizes estimate unit cost pricing to reflect current market conditions and specific project logistics.
- Reviews historic benchmark cost information and highlights variances.
- Works with architects and engineers to develop clear understanding of project scope during preparation of estimate. Develops relationships with members of A/E firms and project team members.
- Prepares cost reconciliation between two or more estimates and explain variance cost drivers.
- Performs such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
About you- Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying or a related engineering field, plus minimum 7 years' MEP experience preferred.
- Provide high level cost estimates for various cost studies, and projects for Transportation Industrial, Manufacturing or Commercial projects.
- Work independently with engineers to provide cost estimates and reconcile with contractor bids.
- Fluent in MS Excel, On- Screen takeoff and SharePoint document control.

Additional informationExpected compensation range is between $120,000 - $150,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
