Medical Laboratory Scientist at Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center in Oregon City, OR.

Full-Time/Night Shift

The Senior Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist position is responsible for accurate and timely reporting of high complexity laboratory test results and in-depth technical/ theoretical knowledge of instruments and methodologies. The Senior MT/MLS performs complex QC, troubleshooting and maintenance duties w/ minimum supervision.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
  • Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology Or
  • Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists Or
  • Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts Or
  • Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology Or
  • Upon hire: National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology Or
  • Upon hire: National Laboratory Tech - United States Government
  • Upon hire: In compliance with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) criminal background check and fingerprinting may be required for position, based on assigned duties. Involves only those positions at PPMC operating the blood irradiator machine.
  • 5 years Clinical laboratory experience in a moderate and high complexity laboratory.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree Medical Laboratory Science from a NAACLS accredited MLS program.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
