Full Job Description
We9re excited to welcome a Senior Cost Estimato to our team in Northern California with experience in HCAI healthcare projects. This is a fantastic remote opportunity where you9ll play a key role on our cost management/estimating team, leading comprehensive estimating efforts, overseeing quality control, clearly communicating cost strategies to clients and A/E consultants, leading reconciliations, and interacting with internal stakeholders.

You9ll support one of the largest healthcare programs in the country, working on complex and rewarding projects while continuing to grow your career alongside a passionate team of cost management, project management, and scheduling professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead estimates, studies, analyses, and evaluations at all levels of project development.
  • Provide conceptual-level estimates, detailed quantity take-off, change order reviews/reconciliations, and value engineering solutions as necessary
  • Develop and present a detailed review of all documentation and develop comprehensive cost estimates/models that communicate the client9s project and strategic goals
  • Provide mentorship and training to estimating staff and direct reports, supporting professional growth and team performance
  • Ensure a quality product is presented to the client by adhering to QA/QC procedures
  • Communicate effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project goals
  • Actively research, solicit, and develop sources/vendors for compiling and maintaining the accuracy of cost information
  • Support business development efforts by developing, promoting, and maintaining client relationships by creating cost exhibits for proposals, meetings, presentations, etc.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 7 years as a cost estimating professional, preferably as a consultant or for a large national general contractor, to include, but not limited to, conceptual estimating, take-offs, change order review/reconciliation, value engineering solutions, risk mitigation and management, etc.
  • Prior HCAI healthcare project estimating experience highly preferred
  • Ability to understand and accurately interpret construction documents at all levels of design (drawings, specifications).
  • Proficient user of On-Screen Takeoff (OST) software or similar quantity takeoff software preferred.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel intermittently for projects and meetings with clients and project site visits.
  • A bachelor9s degree in construction, engineering, or architecture, or 5 years minimum of applicable construction trade experience in lieu of a degree, is preferred.
