This position will be located in one of our
Ontario Offices - ideally in Northern Ontario.At WSP, our

Your ImpactIn this role, you will:
- Lead mechanical HVAC engineering design packages from concept development through detailed engineering, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with project goals.
- Develop mechanical HVAC systems, specifications, calculations, and deliverables that support safe, reliable, and high-performing operations for mining, metals, heavy industrial clients.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical design with process, structural, electrical, controls, and construction requirements.
- Review designs, drawings, and engineering documents to ensure quality, constructability, and adherence to industry codes and best practices.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to intermediate and junior engineers, supporting team growth and capability development.
- Engage directly with clients, contractors, and internal partners to solve complex technical challenges and advance project delivery.
The Skills That Set You Apart- University Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related.
- At least 15+years of mechanical engineering experience in mining and heavy industrial projects.
- Experience in flue gas, dust collection and ventilation ducting an asset.
- You hold (or are eligible for) a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada.
- You bring proven experience solving real-world engineering challenges, from equipment specification to system design and integration.
- You're comfortable working in the field or onsite as needed and adhere to all safety requirements.
- You have working proficiency with mechanical design and modeling tools and continuously grow your technical toolkit.

$122,900 - $162,800MB & ON:
$112,100 - $154,400NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC:
$111,000 - $147,400Disclosure:
