Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction-phase cost estimates for mechanical construction scopes.

  • Review drawings, specifications, BIM models, and design documentation to quantify and estimate mechanical systems.
  • Prepare quantity takeoffs for HVAC systems, process piping, utility infrastructure, process cooling water systems, and related mechanical equipment.

  • Monitor labor markets, material pricing trends, and supply chain risks that may impact project costs.
  • Provide value engineering support and recommend cost-effective design and construction solutions.
  • Prepare estimate narratives, executive summaries, and client-facing presentations.
  • Support procurement activities by reviewing bid packages and evaluating commercial proposals.
  • Collaborate with project controls and cost management teams to maintain cost certainty throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Mentor junior estimators and contribute to best practices across the estimating function.
  • SOX control responsibilities may form part of this role and must be adhered to where applicable.
