Job Description

This role within the Engineering/Product Development Team is focused on electromechanical design and packaging for the company's product lines. The candidates coming from similar industry with CTO/ETO background are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

  • Electromechanical Design and packaging of components, indoor/outdoor cabinetry and systems incorporating a variety of parts and assemblies using SolidWorks 3-D modeling and other tools as required, with a sound approach on cost-effective solutions, DFM, DFA and DFHV.
  • Self-managed ownership of assigned projects, communicating to stakeholders, completion of deliverables, meeting schedules and risk assessment. Capable for swift and agile response to dynamic changes of priorities, business needs and problem solving.
  • Investigation, review and validation of compliance of standards, codes, products and customer requirements, applied to selection of components and design of system level solutions, including thorough understanding and support of static stress/loads and thermo-flow constraints.
  • Prepare detailed manufacturing data packages including 2D and MBD drawings, including the complete product configurations with detailed BOM structures in ERP system.
  • Support factory floor activities in troubleshooting, assembly and retrofit, including Support of general manufacturing activities as may be required or designated.
  • Documentation of all manufacturing package according to the established company procedures, standard of works, practices and product line.
  • Propose and promote improvements to best practices across related processes. Promote and maintain thorough understanding and execution of engineering process and system, mastering ERP and PDM related requirements.


Essential Qualifications, Experience, And Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
  • More than 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering/manufacturing for system level integration.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks (must) CAD systems, with strong emphasis on Sheetmetal, Drawings, Large Assemblies and PDM, with sound knowledge in Static stress and CFD analysis (preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in electro mechanical enclosure & design for electrical power distribution systems in indoor and outdoor environments, including transformers or similar.
  • Demonstrated experience in system design and developmental testing, with emphasis on distribution systems, monitoring and control and protection.
  • Seasoned experienced with production environment, manufacturing & assembly, supply chain, quality management and testing procedures
  • Thrives in a fast-paced innovative environment where several interdependent technologies and products are being developed simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills. Capable to execute projects with minimum supervision and proper tracking, visibility and ownership, driving them proactively to closure from end to finish
  • Strong analytic and practical problem-solving capabilities.
  • Resourceful, innovative, and energetic.
  • Strong proactive collaboration and teamwork focus.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.

    Compensation range: $100,000 CAD
