Position OverviewCMTA Midwest is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer who will provide mechanical services that meet and exceed a client's expectations. They will provide expert advice, make key decisions, and develop highly complex elements regarding mechanical design and project development. This position will guide and direct a team of engineers to ensure a project is completed on-time and on-budget. This position is responsible to grow and develop the mechanical department and continue to build successful client relations. This is an onsite position in our Duluth office.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management
- Positively motivate and review work performed by team of mechanical engineers.
- Professionally work with clients to identify goals.
- Correctly complete billing and budgeting for a project.
- Coordinate services between mechanical engineer team, clients, and other contractors.
- Provide descriptive solutions to mechanical design difficulties.
- Manage a team of engineers and designers; conduct periodic reviews and foster a collaborative atmosphere.
- Facilitate weekly team meetings and effectively delegate workload to team members.
Business Development
- Frequent professional interaction with clients to discover and implement expectations.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Experience- Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
- P.E. Licensed Mechanical Engineer.
- 10+ years of working industry experience.
- Proven ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and organization.
- Established industry and market expert.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and be a strong decision maker.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products.
- Proven ability to maintain excellent integrity and ethical standards within role.
- Ability to work outside normal business hours as project schedules and deadlines require.
