What You Will Do:
- Executes technical investigations and supports complex materials and manufacturing challenges for wheels & brakes structures.
- Leads metallurgical failure analysis involving cracking, fatigue, wear, and corrosion.
- Develops or refines metallic material specifications and heattreat process instructions.
- Supports supplier process evaluations, audits, and capability assessments.
- Supports development of improvements to materials, coatings, and corrosion prevention systems.
- Evaluates forging quality, grain flow, defects, and machiningrelated anomalies.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience oran Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- Failure analysis methodology experience
- Heat treatment control and verification experience
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Forging and grain flow evaluation experience
- Coating and corrosion awareness experience
- Independent problem solving
- Strong communication and presentation skills

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
