Full Job Description
The Senior Master Data Analyst serves as the subject matter expert responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions between Mattress Firm and its business partners. This role analyzes, troubleshoots, and optimizes EDI processes and system integrations to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant data exchange. The position monitors vendor compliance, develops and analyzes operational reporting, identifies trends and process improvement opportunities, and drives onboarding, testing, and implementation efforts for new vendor integrations. Additionally, the Senior Master Data EDI Analyst partners with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex issues, establish best practices, improve data quality, provide guidance and knowledge sharing to team members, and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance and business outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for EDI processes, transaction flows, and trading partner integrations.
  • Monitor EDI transaction activity and vendor compliance performance, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant data exchanges with business partners.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex EDI, data integrity, and integration issues while partnering with internal and external stakeholders to identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Drive onboarding, testing, validation, certification, and implementation activities for new trading partners and EDI transactions, including coordination with third-party providers such as SPS Commerce.
  • Participate in the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of EDI specifications, mapping requirements, validation rules, and operational procedures.
  • Develop, analyze, and distribute operational, compliance, and performance reporting, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with leadership to support the Master Data EDI roadmap, strategic initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Establish and promote EDI best practices, process standards, and documentation to improve operational efficiency and data quality.
  • Provide guidance, knowledge sharing, and training support to team members and business partners on EDI-related processes and requirements.
  • Ensure project priorities, vendor implementations, and operational activities align with business objectives and departmental goals.
  • Communicate project status, implementation progress, compliance concerns, and operational risks to leadership as appropriate.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with internal stakeholders, vendors, and third-party service providers.
  • Complete required training and certification and adhere to all company policies, standards, and safety requirements.

Education
  • Associate's Degree required
  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field. preferrederred preferred

Professional Experience
  • 5+ Years of experience supporting EDI operations, electronic commerce, systems integration, data management, or related business processes required. required
  • Experience managing complex EDI implementations, onboarding trading partners, compliance monitoring, and issue resolution required. preferred And
  • Experience analyzing operational performance, identifying process improvements, and developing reporting and metrics preferred. preferred
  • Retail, supply chain, distribution, or technology industry experience preferred. preferred
