OverviewCummings Electrical is a merit-shop electrical contractor serving construction, service, and integrated manufacturing markets, including some of the largest data center builders in the country. Our marketing and recruiting programs are scaling fast, and we need someone to own the systems, data, and connections underneath them, across all three business units plus our high-volume skilled trades recruiting.
The VP of Marketing owns campaign strategy and creative. Your job is to make sure everything they run can be measured, routed, and reported on, and that it stays that way as the stack grows.
Responsibilities
What You'll Own
Marketing Technology & System Integrations
- Administer and optimize our HubSpot instance: lifecycle stages, lead scoring, routing, workflows, forms, tracking scripts, and data hygiene and governance
- Own the Salesforce/HubSpot integration: field mapping, sync logic, deduplication, and data continuity between marketing and sales
- Own Google Tag Manager end to end: container architecture, custom tags, triggers, variables, dataLayer implementation, and QA
- Administer CallRail: dynamic number insertion, source-level call attribution, call-to-CRM integration, and reporting
- Maintain GA4 properties, conversion events, and cross-domain tracking
- Manage cookie consent and Google Consent Mode v2, and keep tracking aligned with data privacy requirements such as CCPA
Attribution, Reporting & Data Quality
- Design and maintain multi-touch attribution models connecting ad spend to pipeline, revenue, and hires
- Build performance dashboards (Power BI and/or Looker Studio) for leadership across construction, service, IM, and recruiting
- When numbers do not reconcile across systems, find the cause and fix it at the source rather than patching the report
Campaign Operations & Platform Administration
- Administer campaign infrastructure across our Google Ads MCC (business units and recruiting), Meta, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager
- Configure conversion tracking, GCLID/UTM capture, Enhanced Conversions, and offline conversion sync to Google Ads, plus Conversions API (CAPI) for Meta
- Build and enforce campaign taxonomy, UTM standards, and naming conventions
- Run hands-on campaigns in Google Ads and Meta where needed, including geofenced, platform-compliant employment advertising for skilled trades recruiting
Lead Lifecycle & Revenue Operations
- Own lead lifecycle management end to end across the Lead, MQL, SQL, and Opportunity stages: taxonomy, scoring, routing rules, SLAs, and the marketing-to-sales handoff
- Work with recruiting, sales, and business unit leaders to turn loosely defined processes into clear reporting and consistent operating rules
- Build AI-enabled workflows into operations where they save time or improve data quality, in line with company AI governance standards
- Manage agency and vendor relationships, bringing work in-house where possible
What You Bring
Required
- 5+ years in marketing operations, revenue operations, or marketing technology, with hands-on system ownership
- Deep, hands-on Google Tag Manager experience. You have built and maintained containers and dataLayers yourself, not just published tags someone else set up
- HubSpot administration experience (Marketing Hub required; Operations Hub a plus)
- Salesforce experience, including field mapping, sync behavior, and CRM-to-marketing data flows
- Google Ads at the MCC level: platform administration, conversion tracking, offline conversion imports, and hands-on campaign management in Google Ads and Meta
- Call tracking platform experience (CallRail, CallTrackingMetrics, or similar) including CRM integration
- Fluency in campaign taxonomy, UTM strategy, click IDs, and full-funnel attribution, with strong analytical skills in GA4 and a BI tool such as Power BI
Preferred
- Experience in construction, industrial, B2B services, or other long-sales-cycle industries
- Recruitment marketing or programmatic job advertising experience (Indeed, ZipRecruiter, geofenced campaigns)
- Basic scripting/API experience (JavaScript for GTM, webhooks, Zapier/Make); server-side GTM a plus
