Job Description

What is the opportunity?

RBC Home Equity Financing is one of Canada's most significant and strategically vital lending businesses - and we're looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to be part of the next chapter of growth for this exciting portfolio.

The Canadian mortgage space is a dynamic space that continues to evolve. A single decision represents the largest financial commitment most Canadians will ever make, so emotion, trust, and life's biggest milestones meet hard numbers and real competition. It calls for marketers who can balance brand storytelling with performance rigor, who can move potential home buyers from a dream to a decision.

As the Senior Marketing Manager, Home Equity Financing, you will shape and drive integrated marketing strategies across mass advertising, digital and programmatic.

If you are a bold, results-oriented marketer who thrives on turning complex challenges into breakthrough campaigns - and you have a track record of delivering integrated, multi-channel programs at scale that move the needle on acquisition - this is your opportunity to shape how millions of Canadians experience one of the most pivotal moments of their financial lives.

What will you do?

Integrated Campaign Planning and Execution
  • Build a strong working relationship with an extensive network of internal partners and leverage your ability to impact and influence partnerships across the Bank.
  • Own and lead best-in-class mass integrated campaign planning and go-to-market execution across owned and paid channels.
  • Develop and deliver creative and media briefs, tactical plans and collaborate with agency partners and external vendors to deliver high-quality creative and media executions on time and on budget.
  • Proactively seek out new growth opportunities, campaign innovation and test initiatives to drive continuous improvement and learning.
  • Partner closely with the performance marketing team to drive year-round acquisition initiatives, ensuring we are efficiently scaling acquisition growth and maximizing ROI, and translating data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Lead targeted acquisition campaigns that activate field sales and owned digital channels, building a seamless journey from first impression to funded mortgage.
  • Keep a keen eye to process to drive efficiencies and excellence across all stages.
  • Manage marketing budget efficiently, focusing on transparency, efficiency, and flexibility to make the most of market opportunities.

Measurement & Performance Reporting
  • Monitor, report and present marketing results to line-of-business stakeholders providing data-driven recommendations to optimize campaigns to drive growth.
  • Translate marketing performance metrics into clear business outcomes, articulating the "so what" for the line of business and recommending where to double down or course-correct.
  • Lead the cross-functional development of Spring campaign lead reporting collaborating with Digital Marketing Partners
  • Oversee the development and communication of monthly lead results.

Team Leadership & People Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop two marketing managers, setting clear direction, maintaining high standards, and creating conditions for sustained excellence
  • Provide strong people management, including coaching, performance development, career planning, and recognition
  • Model inclusive leadership behaviours consistent with RBC's values and Purpose

What do you need to succeed?

  • Proven project management and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task, as well as confidently and effectively lead a project team through timelines, prioritization, budget management and collaboration.
  • Ability to influence peers and partners through collaborative, transparent socialization, to secure alignment on our vision and recommendations.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute with excellence; must be an enthusiastic, well-organized self-starter, able to use initiative and adapt to change within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to lead multi-stakeholder groups to develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns.
  • A growth mindset and a strong track record of insight-led marketing in a culture that values a collaborative approach.
  • 3+ years of people management experience, with a demonstrated track record of building and leading high-performing teams
