Role Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Manager Market Strategy & RGM, the Sr Analyst Market Strategy & RGM is responsible of building long-term pricing and promotional strategies, assessing marketplace growth opportunities, and leading analysis on promotional effectiveness. This individual will also assist in the development of analytical tools and provide analysis to support the Core/Premium Virtual team through fact-based decision-making with the objective of accelerating profitable, sustainable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create analysis and process to support the annual & long-term commercial strategy and trade investment strategies for the Core or Premium portfolio.
  • Analyze effectiveness of strategies and make recommendations to change strategy to achieve business objectives of volume and profit.
  • Provide analysis and insight into our product portfolio financial profile, deep dive into key drivers of profitability, and supporting pack-price architecture and channel strategies
  • Review pricing strategy & price elasticity opportunities
  • Support with Trade Promotion Optimization and Retail Strategy
  • Analyze profitability for our customers
  • Support with building models and scorecards
  • Provide support and analytic in the monthly business review routine for the Core/Premium virtual team, bringing regional insight into a total Enterprise view
  • Provide support and analytic for agency partner monthly business review
  • Support innovation development through building pricing and promotion recommendations
  • Adhoc support on strategy, pricing, promotions for internal project and long term planning
  • Track pricing execution in market to ensure strategy compliance and gaps to competitive brands.


Qualifications/ Experience/ Education:
  • University Degree
  • 3 years in a similar role with preference to candidates with Consumer-Packaged Goods experience
  • Financial planning or strategy analysis
  • Pricing/Promo Strategies
  • Analytical approach to problem solving
  • Strong Excel skills, experience with Power BI, Canadian grocers data platforms (IRI, dunnhumby & LDIA), SQL and Nielsen Data an asset
  • Attention to detail
  • Excel and Power BI Power User
  • Working knowledge of syndicated data platforms : Nielsen, Dunnhumby, IRI, Precima


Compensation: Budgeted Range - ($78,200.00- $101,200.00) The budgeted range takes into account several factors and qualifications that are considered in making compensation decisions including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other business and organizational requirements. Base pay is only one component of the total rewards offering at Arterra.
