ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll DoAs a Sr. Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control and safety measures for the operations department.

- Work independently and within a team while coordinating with other Departmental Leaders and/or Managers to achieve Daily/Weekly/Monthly goals and objectives.
- Interprets company policies to workers, leads by example and enforces all Federal, State and local regulations.
- Creates a departmental cross training matrix and mentors assigned personnel.
- Deploys team members to both strategically and tactically engage in cross functional problem solving to improve production efficiencies and product quality.
Specific Job Duties:- Ensures the organization accomplishes Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Cost performance objectives. When misses occur, develops a credible recovery plan with team.
- Reviewing daily demand, production capacity and constraints, optimize production schedules, and manage the workflow through shop.
- Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and other reporting on daily basis to drive performance in all assigned areas.
- Champion and initiate Continuous Improvement (CI) projects to increase efficiency, productivity and machine utilization while reducing overall cost.
- Identify new opportunities to impact business and operations goals positively. Manages these projects to rapid completion.
- Direct and coordinate manufacturing activities based on policies, company objectives and programs spanning multiple manufacturing functions.
- Determine performance and product quality owners and direct accountability for achievement of that performance.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain for procurement or required tools and MRO, and planning delivery schedules to meet delivery schedules, quality standards while reducing overall lead time and cost.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Quality Control to determine cause of rejected product and to resolve discrepancies in manufacture process.
- Brief and communicate with customers, suppliers and corporate executives with high intensity and professionalism.
- Conducts performance appraisals and manages work performance of all subordinates.
- Exercises final department recommendations regarding retention, separation, or changes in wages.
- Keeps accurate records pertaining to all facets of operation.
- Maintains the integrity of the information in the JDE ERP system.
- Escalates irreconcilable problems to the attention of the appropriate plant management/HR.
- Visit current tooling suppliers or potential suppliers as needed to discuss on-time delivery and to secure best contract pricing for CAM Fasteners.
- Formulates and maintains highest standards of housekeeping (5S) in all areas assigned.
- Participates in continuous improvement events and implements plans and/or objectives.
QualificationsEducation and Experience Requirements:- Must have a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar
- Must have at least 7 - 10 years of experience as an operations manager or similar role in Aerospace, Medical Device, Automotive or similar industry
Salary Range:The base pay range for this position in California is $175K - $200K per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
