  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) including fixture design, tooling selection, and process validation
  • Optimize CNC programs, feeds, speeds, and tooling to improve efficiency and reduce scrap
  • Work with Quality to investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operators to improve equipment reliability and uptime

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a strong machining background to support production operations through process development, continuous improvement, and technical problem solving. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CNC machining, process optimization, tooling, and production support within a high-precision manufacturing environment. Experience in aerospace manufacturing is strongly preferred. This role will work closely with production, quality, supply chain, and maintenance to ensure safe, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing processes.

What You'll Do...

  • Develop, implement, and improve machining processes for new and existing products
  • Provide hands-on support to production to resolve machining, tooling, and process issues
  • Create and maintain work instructions, process sheets, and standard work documentation
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) including fixture design, tooling selection, and process validation

  • Support capital equipment selection, justification, installation, and validation
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, including aerospace quality standards when applicable

  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a machining environment
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining (mills, lathes, multi-axis preferred)
  • Experience with process development, tooling, fixturing, and cycle time reduction
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work on the production floor in a hands-on capacity
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issues security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice to have

  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing strongly preferred
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or other high-precision regulated industries
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma principles
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software
  • Experience with ERP / MRP systems
  • Project management experience
  • Experience with special processes such as heat treat, coating, or non-destructive testing is a plus
