Position Summary...The Senior Manager, Workforce Planning oversees scheduling, wage control processes, and innovation in workforce management. This position ensures The Senior Manager, Workforce Planning, is responsible for leading the strategies, processes, and insights that enable Walmart stores to have the right associates, in the right place, at the right time, to serve customers and deliver operational excellence. This role partners closely with Store Managers, Field Leaders, People partners, Finance, Operations, and cross-functional teams to translate business priorities into practical workforce plans, scalable processes, and measurable execution outcomes.
What you'll do...The Senior Manager, Workforce Planning leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of workforce planning strategies, processes, and tools that support store execution and customer service.
This position partners with Store Managers, Field Leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders and leveraging AI to understand operational needs, identify workforce planning opportunities, and improve scheduling performance by building, maintaining, and enhancing management reporting, dashboards, scorecards, and performance views that monitor progress against workforce planning priorities.
The Senior Manager, Workforce Planning develops actionable insights and recommendations to help leaders improve labour planning, schedule effectiveness, associate availability, productivity, and overall store readiness. Prepare executive-ready summaries, business updates, and performance narratives that clearly connect insights to operational actions and outcomes. Follows-up on execution, escalates barriers, and ensures leaders have visibility to performance and next steps.
This position also influences and supports field adoption of workforce planning tools, standards, and best practices through clear communication, change management, and stakeholder engagement. Champions continuous improvement by simplifying processes, reducing manual work, and identifying scalable solutions that improve scheduling accuracy and store execution.
The pay range for this position is $109,400.00 - $150,480.00. Pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
