BDO Canada is looking for a Senior Manager to join the US Corporate Tax Services team and own the following responsibilities:

• Provide both technical and project management leadership to team members for US Corporate Tax planning projects or assignments

• US Corporate Tax planning assignments and projects typically involve providing advice to optimize clients' tax savings in the context of on-off Canada-US cross border transactions, ongoing effective tax rate management, etc.

• Apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues relevant to clients' businesses

• Prepare or assist in the preparation of presentation materials and written publications

• Provide leadership to the group's administrative processes

• Responsible for tax research (including reviewing research for junior staff) on US issues

• Engage in training staff and invest in the professional development of your team

Your experience and education

• You have completed a professional designation (BCL, LLB, LLM, CPA)

• You have a minimum of 7 years' experience in the public accounting industry

• You possess a minimum of three years of experience and expertise in a US corporate tax management role

• You are client service focused with the ability to train a team

• You display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills

• Bilingualism (French and English) Required: Due to the frequent and complex contact with our English-speaking partners and clients in Quebec and outside of Quebec, and the need to draft documents in English, knowledge of English is essential for this position.
