DescriptionJob SummaryThis position serves to coordinate programs within Educational Activities that connect universities with educational programs within IEEE, including those that serve faculty, university students and pre-university students. Assesses the engagement and program management needs of IEEE volunteer audiences/customers, roles, and outcomes. Frequent interaction with senior level staff and volunteers is required. The position includes support of additional staff and distinct programs. The incumbent in this position is primarily responsible for Educational Activities volunteer and staff program management in the areas of university and preuniversity programs related to university partnerships, oversight of University Resources Committee, and other affiliated volunteer committee meetings, and special programs as identified by volunteer and staff leadership. The Sr. Manager - University Partnerships: Educational Programs will act as the point person in Educational Activities for existing and new programs that rely on partnerships with universities. The role reports to the Director of Student & Academic Educational Programs. The position will typically manage 2- 3 direct reports. This position has authority for day to day operations but under consultative direction on overall business objectives and priorities. The individual must have a solid business and project management background, be able to address complex issues directly and be skilled in obtaining critical information to make knowledge-based decisions. She/he must be able to facilitate and lead cross-functional teams to consensus decisions and actively attain results without necessarily having direct authority over said teams and have strong project management skills. She/he must develop an in-depth understanding of the IEEE Educational Activities Student and Academic Educational Programs and cross--OU activities including. The incumbent is expected to work closely with all appropriate stakeholders to ensure that needed data and analysis is incorporated into planning decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Collaboration in selected IEEE Educational Activities programs (40%)
- - Directly supports the staff responsible for the guidance, communications and support of the university programs within Educational Activities and direct support for the University Resources Committee. In addition, support for the EPICS in IEEE, ABET Accreditations, TryEngineering Summer Institutes and TryEngineering OnCampus programs and other EA student education programs. This includes strategic development of programs within EA, supporting materials and outreach to relevant communities.
- - Works with university faculty to support their Educational Activities programs with the assistance of EA program managers and Director
- - Serves as the point of contact with MGA for collaborations with university programs
- Program Ownership, Business Management and Analysis (30%):
- Direct a wide-range of dedicated projects in support of the mission and vision of the IEEE, as well as the mission and vision Educational Activities Student and Academic Education Programs. This includes research on issues, developing understanding of the underlying issues (immediate and long-term), developing solutions, recommending alternative or new solutions, and promotion of the solutions.
- Manages selected Educational Activities projects, including budgets, forecasting, financial analysis, expense reports, accruals, etc.
- Collects data and provides analysis of selected metrics, packaging this information into written and web-based tools, and responding to questions regarding the analysis. Assists with statistical analysis, competitive intelligence, and other related information requests for programs.
- Staff Management (20%):
- Manages EA staff assigned to support existing and new university partnerships, related to university and pre-university programs.
- Assists Director in oversight, team management and task prioritization for the Student & Academic Education programs. Participates in the planning of group development and mentoring of new staff in coordination with Director. Provides subject matter expertise as needed.

QualificationsEducation- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Preferably in Business Req
- Master's or other advanced degree Preferably in Business or Management Pref
Work Experience- 7-10 years combined experience in internal and/or organizational administration and management; conceptualizing, initiating and facilitating strategic projects including effectively researching, collaborating, and presenting a range of materials to persuade others in regard to supporting a defined strategic change or initiative Pref
- 4-7 years experience in executing successful new programs, including assessing success factors Req
- 2-4 years experience in analysis for strategic change and management; experience supervisory and team project management; experience working in a strategy, marketing, sales or equivalent role, advantageous Req
- Less than 2 years experience working with professional associations Pref
