This is a hybrid position based out of our 243 Consumers Rd location in North York, with 4 days per week in office and 1 day remote.The Senior Manager, Total Rewards and HR Systems plays a critical leadership role in creating and implementing competitive employee experience strategies for Lifemark Health Group. Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards and Systems, the successful candidate will lead a team and provide strategic leadership across Total Rewards and HR Systems, ensuring best practices in the development and implementation of fixed and variable compensation, incentive plans, benefits policies, and HR system processes. The role will serve as a functional lead for HR systems, including ADP Workforce Now, supporting system optimization, data integrity, process improvements, and alignment with business needs. Through researching market trends, analyzing competitive compensation survey data, conducting modelling, and leveraging HR systems and people data, the Senior Manager will make recommendations for program enhancements, drive continuous improvement, and develop and coach a high-performing team.
Responsibilities:Total Rewards Strategy & Programs
- Translate business strategy into effective compensation and Total Rewards programs, including fixed and variable compensation, incentive programs, benefits, communications, and supporting system requirements.
- Lead compensation benchmarking and market intelligence in partnership with the Enterprise COE, using external and internal data to identify market trends, practices, and opportunities.
- Partner with Operations, HR, Talent, Finance, and hiring leaders to establish competitive salary ranges and compensation recommendations aligned with market practices, internal equity, and business needs.
- Lead compensation modelling, analysis, and recommendations to support evolving business and workforce needs.
- Lead the annual compensation review cycle, including planning, analysis, stakeholder management, system changes, validation, communications, and coordination with Payroll.
- Develop and monitor Total Rewards metrics and scorecards, providing insights and recommendations to support leadership decision-making.
- Lead internal and external compensation and benefits surveys and analyze results to inform Total Rewards strategy.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors/carriers to manage benefits programs and recommend enhancements that balance employee experience, competitiveness, cost, and business objectives.
HR Systems, Data & Process Optimization
- Provide functional leadership and subject matter expertise for HR systems, including ADP Workforce Now, ensuring systems effectively support compensation, benefits, employee lifecycle processes, organizational structures, and reporting.
- Lead the configuration, testing, implementation, and optimization of HR system enhancements and integrations in alignment with business requirements and HR processes.
- Partner with HR, Payroll, IT, Finance, Talent, and Enterprise HRIS teams to identify requirements, resolve issues, improve processes, and enhance the employee and manager experience.
- Oversee HR data governance and integrity, establishing appropriate controls, audits, and processes to ensure accurate employee, compensation, benefits, organizational, and job data.
- Lead system testing and validation for upgrades, new functionality, compensation and benefits programs, integrations, and other HR initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline HR processes, reducing manual work and improving data accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, processes, user guides, and standard operating procedures to support consistent HR system administration.
- Lead and support strategic projects across Total Rewards, HR Systems, data, process improvement, and broader HR initiatives.
People Leadership & Team Development
- Provide strategic leadership across the Total Rewards and HR Systems functions, ensuring the team delivers scalable, effective, and business-aligned solutions.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team by establishing clear priorities, expectations, accountability, and development opportunities.
- Build team capability and support succession planning through coaching, mentoring, knowledge sharing, and talent development.
- Effectively allocate resources and prioritize workload to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of functional and strategic initiatives.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, continuous improvement, and strong internal customer service.
- Provide ongoing feedback and performance management to support individual and team success.
Education and Experience Requirements:- University degree, preferably in a related discipline (e.g. Human Resources Management or Business Management)
- Minimum of five (5) years' progressive recent and related HR experience in Total Rewards, Compensation & Benefits, HR Systems/HRIS, or a related HR discipline, with demonstrated experience operating at a senior level.
- Proven experience developing, implementing, and administering compensation programs, including salary structures, market benchmarking, incentive programs, annual compensation reviews, and job evaluation.
- Strong HRIS experience, with demonstrated functional expertise in ADP Workforce Now or a comparable HRIS platform, including system configuration, data management, testing, reporting, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
- Experience leading or supporting HRIS implementations, system enhancements, integrations, upgrades, and process automation considered a strong asset.
- Certification as a Compensation Professional (CCP) and/or knowledge of ADP considered an asset
- Experience working in amid-to-large scale, multi-site and/or national organization, preferably within a complex, high-growth environment.
- Experience in healthcare, professional services, or another highly regulated environment considered an asset.
- Advanced analytical, financial modelling, problem-solving, and project management skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of applicable employment legislation and regulatory requirements, including Employment Standards legislation, Pay Equity, and privacy requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and modelling; proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and HR reporting/analytics tools.
